There are daily flights from Bangkok to Osaka, the center of Western Japan. Osaka is a bustling metropolis. Not far from Osaka is Kyoto with its charming temples and shrines. It's the cultural hub of Japan and especially nice during Sakura season in spring. A little further is the city of Hiroshima with its picturesque harbor. The "JR West" rail pass also allows you to travel to parts of Kyushu island, for instance to Fukuoka. Western Japan is very diverse and you will see new and exciting thing every day.
