Kyushu is the Southern most island of the main Japanese islands. The
cities of Nagasaki and Fukuoka can easily be reached from Bangkok. From
there the "JR Kyushu" rail pass will be a great way to explore the rest
of the island. Majestic volcanoes, hidden shrines and lovely beaches
make Kyushu a really lovely island to spend a week or two. Due to its
Southern location, the weather is nice all year round and Kyushu is
usually the place where the cherry blossoms start to bloom first during
Sakura season.
