Shanghai
Airlines
Shanghai Airlines took to the skies in
1985. It was funded by the Shanghai municipal government and one of the
more independent airlines in
China. Since then, the airline has been
merged with China Eastern,
a government-controlled airline based in Shanghai. Shanghai Airlines is
a member of Star Alliance, however, China Eastern is in SkyTeam. So it
is unclear whether Shanghai Airlines will continue to be a member of
Star Alliance. The airline currently offers nonstop flights from Bangkok
to Shanghai. |
